Sierra Blanca sector under temporary permit hold
Update
The Marbella municipal planning office has announced a temporary hold on new building permit applications in the Sierra Blanca sector, effective 1 October 2026. The pause — expected to last 60-90 days — follows a capacity audit of the waste water treatment plant serving the area.
Existing approved permits are not affected. Developers with applications currently under review will receive a status letter within 14 days.
This is a infrastructure pause, not a policy change.
